The General Economic Division (GED), Planning Commission, Government of Bangladesh, International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), Dhaka, and International Institutional of Environment and Development (IIED), UK, will be holding the fifth learning hub event on August 5, 2016. This event will be on the topic of ‘Food and Nutrition Security: A Comprehensive and Adaptive Agricultural Development.
 
The event will be chaired by Dr. Shamsul Alam, Member (Senior Secretary), GED, Planning Commission and  facilitated by Dr. Saleemul Huq, Director, ICCCAD.
 

Learning Hub Event aims to support the Planning Commission of Government of Bangladesh to set up a learning/knowledge hub for enabling knowledge exchange and dialogues on climate resilient development planning. This month’s event will be on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change. The event will identify relationship between agriculture and climate change through depicting successful evidences of developing countries and to determine effective measures to be addressed to ensure nutrition and food security through comprehensive agricultural development. The event is open for all concerned and line minitries and national and international organizations to share their experiences in regards to combat climate change through finding better synergies. The presentations and the following discussions of the event will draw from global and regional experiences.
