The International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), along with Water Aid Bangladesh is organizing a discussion event in Independent University, Bangladesh called ‘ICCCAD-IUB discussion on COP21 in Bangladesh’. The purpose of this discussion is to introduce the ICCCAD Climate Youth Initiative programme, which aims to spread awareness and build capacity for youth in the climate change arena. Also, to show how the young people can get involved in the climate change activities in future.
The event will involve several presentations by young people from three different countries. The presenters will talk about the different ways young people engage in climate change in their respective countries – whether through partaking in the UNFCCC process, or promoting campaigns for awareness. Following the presentations, there will be a Q & A session from3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where the special guests will answer queries from the young participants at the event.
