Gobeshona will be holding the second phase of its monthly seminar series titled ‘Examining UNFCCC Adaptation Negotiations’ on Tuesday, July 22 at North South University, Dhaka. political economy of climate change: national and global context The seminar will be chaired by: Prof. Amin U. Sarker, Vice Chancellor, NSU and facilitated by Dr. Saleemul Huq, Director, ICCCAD. Mr. Benajir Ahmed, Chairmam, Board of Trustees, NSU will be the chief guest at this event.
The seminar will also include presentations from Dr. Mizan Khan, North South University and Dr. Quamrul Chowdhury, Lead Climate Negotiator of LDCs. The topic of the presentations are “The Politics of Adaptation in the UNFCCC Negotiations: The Role of Bangladesh” and “Climate Adaptation Negotiations under the UNFCCC: The Perspective and Role of LDCs” respectively.
