International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and General Economic Division (GED), Planning Commission, Government of Bangladesh will be holding a learning hub event on ‘BD2050 – Energy, Emissions and Food Security Modelling Tool’. The event will be chaired by Dr. Shamsul Alam, Member (Senior Secretary), GED, Planning Commission and facilitated by Dr. Saleemul Huq, Director, ICCCAD.

Learning Hub Event aims to support the Planning Commission of Government of Bangladesh to set up a learning/knowledge hub for enabling knowledge exchange and dialogues on climate resilient development planning. This month’s event will focus on BD2050 Energy, Emissions and Food Security Modelling Tool. The overall objective of introducing this tool to the development practitioners and policy makers is to build awareness about creating a low carbon pathway for Bangladesh in the future. Not only can this tool be used in identifying carbon reduction opportunities but can also improve existing green credentials with relevant stakeholders.
